Camping

Camping in the Patapsco Valley is a fantastic way to enjoy the area’s natural landscapes, historic sites and recreational activities. Whether you are tent camping or staying in a cabin, the park provides an excellent escape into nature.

Patapsco Valley State Park offers two camping areas:

Hilton Area

Located in Catonsville, this campground has tent sites, mini-cabins, and youth group campsites. The Hilton Area also has a small nature center, a recycled tire playground and access to trails.

Hollofield Area

Located off Route 40 (Baltimore National Pike) in Ellicott City, this campground offers tent and RV sites, some with electric hookups. The Hollofield area provides picnic areas, trail access to the river and a scenic overlook of the Patapsco Valley.
