Join PHG at the Nike Missile Site BA-79 for our Third Annual Collaborative Open House!

Guided tours (above and below-ground in magazines) will be available throughout the day. A variety of local and regional groups will have tables with information about their programs and events located inside the Civil Air Patrol Headquarter building.

Join us to:

• Learn more about the activities of local history, preservation, and conservation organizations
• Explore the grounds and history of Nike Missile Site BA-79
• See model rocket launches (weather pending)
• Eat at Strohmer’s Farm to Table Food Truck
• Enjoy a day of family learning and fun
• Learn about various groups and community organizations that will be present
• And more!

Gates will open to the public around 12:00pm

The preliminary schedule for this event can be found below:

• 12:00 pm – Event begins
• 12:15 pm – Flag raising demonstration
• 12:30 pm – First guided tour of site begins
• 3:00 pm – Final guided tour of site begins
• 3:30 pm – Model Rocket Launch Demonstration
• 4:00 – Event ends

Guided tours will run every half hour.

The site is ADA-compliant above-ground. The underground features of the site are not ADA accessible.
