While the area is not as well-known as other climbing destinations in Maryland, the Patapsco Valley offers several locations and routes for climbing and bouldering on natural rock formations.

Alberton Road Rock: Located in the Daniels Area of Patapsco Valley State Park, accessed by the Alberton Road Trail
Illchester Rocks: Located in the Hilton Area of the Patapsco Valley State Park, accessed by the Buzzards Rock Trail
Woodstock Rock: Located in Woodstock Area of Patapsco Valley State Park
