Join Patapsco Heritage Greenway on Thursday, September 4 for An Evening in the Patapsco Valley featuring food, drinks, and history at the award-winning Elkridge Furnace Inn!

Learn more about the Patapsco Valley’s rich cultural, historical and environmental resources and help support the free environmental and historical programs Patapsco Heritage Greenway provides across the Patapsco Valley Heritage Area throughout the year.

Programming includes:

  • Dinner and networking hour
  • 4th annual Charles L. Wagandt II Memorial Lecture – This year’s lecture offers an in-depth exploration and discussion of the archaeological and historic preservation work conducted at the Elkridge Furnace Inn site since 2022.
  • Featured panelists: Robert Bailey (Maryland DNR), Laura Houston (Preservation Maryland), Zachary Singer (Maryland Historical Trust)
  • Opportunity for archaeological tour of the site
  • Presentation of the Grace Kubofcik Friend of the Patapsco Award
  • Displays of archaeological and architectural materials related to work completed at the site
  • Displays from local history and preservation groups

Come out and enjoy An Evening in the Patapsco Valley and help support our mission of preserving, protecting, interpreting, and restoring the environment, history, and culture of Maryland’s most dramatic river valley for all.

Tickets are on sale through August 20, 2025.

Your $85 ticket includes: Dinner and dessert, 1 wine/beer drink ticket, non-alcoholic beverages, Q&A with panelists, and access to time-limited displays of archaeological and architectural materials from the Elkridge Furnace Inn.
