FY26 PVHA Mini-Grants Announced

The Patapsco Valley Heritage Area (PVHA) Mini-Grant Program assists heritage-related sites, organizations and municipalities to develop innovative programs, partnerships, exhibits, tours, events, and initiatives consistent with the regional goals and objectives in our state and county approved Management Plan. The Program encourages proposals that include collaborative partnerships, enhance preservation, encourage stewardship of natural resources, and promote heritage tourism. PHG received nearly $50,000 in requests for the FY26 Program, funded primarily by a $25,000 grant from the Maryland Heritage Areas Authority. Awardees were chosen through a competitive process.

FY26 PVHA Mini-Grant Awardees are:

  • Baltimore County Arts Guild, Voices and Visions: An Accessible Digital Art Tour of Catonsville’s Historic Markers ($3292)
  • Catonsville Middle School, Patapsco Watershed Experience-Equitable Access to Environmental Stewardship ($1665)
  • Catonsville Tree Canopy Project, Catonsville Street Tree Planting ($2500)
  • Elkridge Assembly Rooms, Inc., Elkridge Assembly Rooms Concert Series ($2500)
  • Elkridge Heritage Society, Elkridge Heritage Museum Part 2 and HoCo 250 Contribution ($4000)
  • Friends of Patapsco Valley State Park, GreenMind Series ($2500)
  • Greater Patapsco Community Association-Small Watershed Community Committee, Supporting Habitat and Stream Health of Patapsco River Tributaries ($3392)
  • Howard County Conservancy, Visitor Metrics ($2651)
  • Howard County Historical Society, History on the Hill: Interpreting the Howard County Courthouse ($2500) and an additional $2500 provided through PHG’s EC250 Legacy Fund

Additionally, PHG was able to provide $1500 sponsorships to the following projects:

  • Resurrection St. Paul School, Pollinator Garden Interpretive Display
